Start with the free tools

Read the complete steps
  1. Start with the free tools

Open quoteandmop.com/tools for a free calculator, walkthrough checklist and fixed proposal example.

  2. Define the scope first

Start with the checklist. Discuss area, frequency, surfaces, access and the work the customer needs.

  3. A check records a discussion

Check an item after discussing it. Checks stay in this tab only. Print for the visit; keep access codes out.

  4. Your inputs drive the estimate

Enter total crew-hours, wage, labor burden, supplies, travel and monthly overhead. Use your own assumptions.

  5. Review costs and the labor scenario

Review the monthly estimate and labor-overrun scenario. Starting values are examples, not market rates or guaranteed profit.

  6. Fixed sample - illustrative details

The fixed sample shows price, scope and exclusions. It is an illustration, not your saved personalized proposal.

  7. Personalized work needs approved access

Personalized editing and saving need an approved pilot or active Pro access. Sign-in alone does not unlock them.

  8. Free tools do not start a paid plan

Paid checkout is closed. The reviewed 30-day pilot requires no card and never converts automatically to a paid subscription.

  9. Walk it. Price it. Review it.

Walk the site, check your costs and review the scope. Open Guides for step-by-step setup instructions.

Price the scope: costs and margin

About 1 minute 20 seconds · Captions on screen · No audio

Read the complete steps
  1. Use your own cost assumptions

Teaching example only. These inputs are not recommended rates for your business. Estimate the work after a walkthrough.

  2. 2 cleaners x 2 hours = 4 crew-hours

2 cleaners x 2 hours each = 4 crew-hours. Area gives context; it does not determine labor time.

  3. Wage + burden + supplies + travel

Example: $22/hour, 18% labor burden, $7 supplies and $8 travel per visit, plus $100 allocated monthly overhead.

  4. 3 weekly visits average 13 per month

    3 visits/week x 52 weeks / 12 months = 13 average monthly visits. The calculator includes all entered costs.

  5. Costs / (1 - target margin)

    Entered monthly costs: $1,644.92. At an example 30% target margin: $1,644.92 / (1 - 0.30) = $2,349.89 before tax.

  6. Margin is a share of the selling price

Margin is a share of the selling price. Adding 30% to costs is markup and produces a smaller margin.

  7. Test slower work at the same price

The overrun scenario keeps price fixed and increases crew-hours 20%. Here, estimated margin falls to 18.5%.

  8. Recalculate after changing the estimate

Change crew-hours from 4 to 4.8. The main result recalculates a NEW price for the same target margin.

  9. Review scope, exclusions and tax

Review scope, exclusions and applicable tax. This estimate is before tax. Omitted costs reduce your actual margin.

Manage your walkthrough request

About 1 minute 20 seconds · Captions on screen · No audio

Read the complete steps
  1. Save a new request to your account

Open the business’s walkthrough link. Sign in before filling it out and choose Save this request to my signed-in account. No paid plan is required.

  2. Find your saved request

Open Your walkthrough requests using the same account. Guest and older requests are handled directly with the business; an email match does not link them.

  3. Check the recorded time

A submitted request is not an appointment. Agree a time directly, then check the recorded confirmation and business timezone. This screen uses internal test data.

  4. Ask for a change

Describe the change and include your timezone. A change message does not reschedule the appointment. Contact the business directly for urgent help.

  5. Read the business’s reply

Refresh status to check replies and agreed appointment changes. Private business notes stay separate. Automatic email and text alerts are not connected.

  6. Cancel an active request

Choose Cancel this request, review the notice and confirm. Cancellation releases the recorded time; it does not settle separate service-contract terms or fees.

  7. Keep your record

Check the cancelled status and remove old calendar entries. Export your request and up to the latest 200 history entries. No replacement appointment is booked.

Recorded October 19, 2026. Example inputs are illustrative. Check current pricing and access details before choosing a plan.

For customers and businesses

Check your next steps in one place

  1. Sign in with the account that owns the records, then choose My activity from the navigation.
  2. Review the Needs attention total. It counts new business enquiries, pending customer changes, jobs with current bids, selected business bids awaiting a booking, support waiting for your reply and unresolved site issues. It is not an unread-message count.
  3. Choose a workspace from Show, or select Only items needing attention. Each preview shows up to five records with attention items first; open the workspace for its full list.
  4. Open the relevant workspace to read details, reply, agree a time or change a status. Viewing an item alone does not clear it.
  5. Keep Auto-refresh while open enabled for a check every minute while this tab is visible, or choose Refresh now. Check the last-successful time and any error banner before relying on a snapshot.

No email, SMS, push or employee alert is sent. Guest walkthrough requests appear only for the receiving business. The summary contains no message bodies, private notes or contact details, and no paid plan is needed.

Set up location-specific issue reporting

  1. Create an active client record in Business workspace, then open Site issues, Report pages and Create a report page.
  2. Choose the client and enter only the location label, business name, contact email and instructions you are authorized to publish. The page starts paused; private client records are never copied into the public form.
  3. Review the details, confirm your authority and enable the page. Open Preview QR sign and downloads, print the sign or download its SVG, and scan the final print before placing it at the client location.
  4. Check the issue inbox regularly. Open a report, assign an active crew record if needed, set a due date and save a private progress note. Contact the reporter directly when needed.
  5. Record a resolution note and mark the issue resolved. Export an issue with its history, or export the current inbox page. Pause a link to stop intake; replacing it invalidates old signs and requires printing new ones.

No automatic email, text or employee alert is sent. Editing public details pauses the page for review. Client archive blocks intake. Existing enabled pages continue after pilot or Pro access ends until paused; existing issues remain manageable. Beta limits are 20 pages, 1,000 reports per page and 5,000 per business.

Open site issues

Report a cleaning issue at your location

  1. Scan the issue-report code supplied by your cleaning business at the location. Check the business name and area shown on the page.
  2. Choose the issue category, describe the area and explain what needs attention. Do not include access codes, health information, photos or unnecessary personal details.
  3. Optionally give your name and email if you want the business to contact you about this report. Review the consent notice and submit once.
  4. Keep the receipt reference. Your report and the business's follow-up history are private; the QR link does not show other people's reports.
  5. Contact the named business directly for urgent follow-up. If the page is unavailable, ask it for a current link.

This is a routine service-issue form, not an emergency channel or a new cleaning booking. Submission does not promise a response time, and no automatic email receipt or notification is sent.

Track or change a walkthrough request

  1. Open the business’s walkthrough link and sign in before filling out the form. Leave Save this request to my signed-in account selected, then review and submit your request.
  2. Follow Track or change your request on the receipt, or open Your walkthrough requests. No paid plan is required; use the same account you submitted with.
  3. Check the recorded status and customer-visible replies. If confirmed, download the calendar file and check the business timezone.
  4. Use Request a change to describe your new availability and timezone. The existing appointment stays unchanged until the business agrees and updates it. Refresh status to read replies.
  5. To cancel an active request, choose Cancel this request and confirm. Remove old calendar entries; cancellation does not settle separate service-contract terms or fees. Export your request and the latest 200 history entries when needed.

Automatic alerts are not connected. Contact the business directly for urgent help, guest requests and older requests. An email match does not link a request to your account.

Ask for help and track the reply

  1. Sign in, open Your support requests and choose Start a support request. No paid plan is required.
  2. Choose a topic and describe the page, device, error and expected result. Leave out passwords, card details, access codes and private customer documents.
  3. Review the contact and privacy notice, then submit. The receipt and reference confirm the request is saved in the private inbox.
  4. Return to the request page to read support replies and add your own. No automatic email, SMS or push alert is sent.
  5. Export the conversation if needed. Mark resolved when the issue is fixed, or reopen it if you need more help.

If you cannot sign in, use support@quoteandmop.com. Resolution keeps the conversation; it does not delete it.

Request cleaning and compare bids

  1. Sign in, open Post a job, and choose the service category, state and city.
  2. Describe the scope and preferred timing. Keep exact addresses and personal contact details out of public fields; use the selected-business-only field for necessary private directions.
  3. Submit for review. After publication, check My workspace for private bids and compare price, scope, exclusions and availability.
  4. Select a business when ready to share your agreed contact details. Confirm the service contract, payment arrangements and appointment directly.
  5. Use My workspace for status and the combined schedule for recorded bookings. Contact the business directly about changes; the site does not send automatic notifications.

The marketplace is growing. No available business, bid, qualification or service outcome is guaranteed.

Post a cleaning request

For cleaning businesses

Build a cost-based quote

  1. Walk the space and use the printable checklist to record surfaces, restrooms, tasks, access and frequency.
  2. Enter total crew-hours for one visit: two cleaners working two hours means four crew-hours.
  3. Include wage, labor burden, supplies, travel and allocated monthly overhead. Set your target margin and review the cost assumptions.
  4. Use an approved pilot or active Pro access to personalize and save a proposal. Review scope, exclusions, price and your company details.
  5. Open Review & export, select Print / save PDF and check every page. Follow-up text is a draft for you to review and send.

Margin is a share of the selling price. See the calculation guide for the full formula. Saving a proposal as sent does not send an email.

Publish your walkthrough request page

  1. Sign in to Booking and expand Your business request page. Enter your business details, service area, contact information and timezone.
  2. Review the public description and publish only information you are authorized to share. Copy the link to use on your own website or social profile. Open Preview your QR sign and downloads to print a sign or download the QR code; scan the final print before sharing.
  3. Check the Walkthrough inbox regularly. A submitted request is an enquiry, not a confirmed appointment.
  4. Contact the prospect directly and agree a time. Open Manage request, set the status and appointment times, then save. For linked customers, review pending changes, add a Message visible to customer if needed, and explicitly acknowledge a reviewed change. Private notes stay separate.
  5. Use Open email draft to prepare a message you send yourself. A calendar download is a snapshot; replace old entries after a change. Pause the public page when you no longer want requests.

Confirmed appointments are checked for overlap with recorded work. Check your other calendars as well. Cancelling in the workspace does not notify the prospect.

Connect clients, visits and follow-ups

  1. Add a client in Clients. Add crew records if you need to assign work; these entries do not create employee logins.
  2. Open Visits, select the client, choose a time and optionally assign crew. You can create up to 26 recurring visits; each saved visit can be edited separately.
  3. Record actual work in Time, including breaks. Review overlapping entries before saving.
  4. Complete an inspection for the visit. Record failed checks, corrective work and a due date so the follow-up remains visible.
  5. After saving an inspection, select Photos. Choose a JPEG, PNG or WebP image, review the prepared preview, add a caption and save. Images are resized to at most 1600 pixels per side and 2 MB; embedded metadata is removed. Download each saved PNG separately from business-record exports. Limit: 5 per inspection and 50 per account.
  6. Create an itemized invoice for the client, enter a confirmed tax rate, review the printable version, and mark paid only after independently verifying receipt.

The signed-in owner manages these records. Payroll, GPS, automatic invoice delivery and customer card collection are not connected.

Make a restock list

  1. Choose Supplies in Business workspace. Enter the item name and count unit, such as bottles, packs or rolls.
  2. Record the quantity on hand, reorder level and a target above that level. Add cost per unit, supplier, location and count date.
  3. Save the item. It is low when the entered count is at or below the reorder level.
  4. Select Low stock only, then Export CSV. The list shows the quantity needed to reach the target and estimated cost using your entered unit price.
  5. After counting or restocking, update the quantity manually. Archive items you no longer track; Show archived and Restore can bring them back.

The estimate excludes unentered tax and shipping. No purchase is placed, and completing a visit does not reduce stock.

Open supplies

Read and export business reports

  1. Open Business reports and choose From and Through dates in the correct order.
  2. Review manually marked payments, issued invoice value, visits, recorded crew time and inspection checks for that period.
  3. Read unpaid balances, open follow-ups and restocking needs separately: they are current snapshots across all dates.
  4. Use Export report CSV to download the report. Check the device timezone and the stated basis for each measure.
  5. Correct source records in Business workspace if a figure needs changing. Archived records are excluded from the report.

A payment record is not proof of a bank deposit. Reports do not calculate payroll or replace accounting advice.

List your cleaning business and bid

  1. Sign in and open My workspace in the marketplace. Complete your business profile using a category, state, city and accurate contact details.
  2. Describe the service area and work you can lawfully perform. Confirm your authority to represent the business and submit it for review.
  3. After approval, browse relevant open jobs. Review the request before entering your total price, scope, exclusions, availability and price-validity period.
  4. Submit a private bid. The customer can read it; competing bidders cannot. Check My workspace for status.
  5. If selected, contact the customer, agree service details and then record the agreed appointment. Changes or cancellations require direct communication.

The beta supports one primary category and state per business. A listing does not guarantee leads, and profile changes require review again.
